    i just get thinking about that Gomez almost signed for us and we ended up signing Carroll instead.

      I find the last part of the Rodgers' quote slightly defeatist. Given all that support from the fans he should have just said "Suarez owes the supporters some loyalty".

      Granted it may be in short supply in football these days but I'm not sure why we deserve weeks of uncertainty after how he's been supported throughout his time here. He spoke plenty whilst away, the least he can do now is come out and talk. Was a lot said of how he had been victimised by the press here and he wanted to leave the country

      Why not come out and explain the Arsenal link now. They've found out from his agent that there is a £40m clause so they've invited the bid.

      I really hope he has a change of heart and stays. Think we deserve a whole lot better than this though from him

            Haven't seen the full match yet, but that ball from Suarez through to Aspas just before the goal was lovely. The play from the resulting corner to set up the goal was excellent too.

            If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

              Possibly. I just think Luis' is a slightly unique case though bearing in mind what's happened since he's been here. Shouldn't be upto him to decide whether he stays or not. The club should make a stand and tell him he can't move on

                I would sell him now, the circus is ridiculous, that kind of money £45m + could bring in 3 good players and unburden ourselves of the crap that follows him.

                It has done our collective head in, especially, despite the love, he wants to go..bye

                    thus starting a potential bidding war. Nice to see we will not sell before meeting the 50m plus value.

                    I can see player plus cash deals being done here.

                                It will happen every time we have a world class player and other teams want him. It's inevitable.

                                If we sell every quality player just to avoid a 'circus' then we really would be clowns.
