@iainmacintosh: I'm certain that Luis Suarez will take Liverpool's refusal to sell him like a man and that he'll redouble his efforts for the coming season.

Pepe v Suarez in the Prem, that'll end well.

Obviously trying to be a smartarse as usual but does he really expect Suarez - should he stay - to mope around football pitches not trying? He's not capable.

So it's fair to say that there are contradicting stories in the press at the moment. Andy Hunter running with the story that Arsenal are coming back with an increased bid and the other one saying that we won't sell to them at any cost. I remember us saying that Torres was not for sale and 3 days later he was gone.
          Are we winning?

This thread has taken a worryingly on-topic turn.

              Viva meltdown speculation!
              Oh I don't know.

                Of course.

Doesn't prevent the rest of us talking ****e though.

I expect the club has a price set and regardless of which club come in if that price is met then the offer is accepted.

That price may be lower for a club outside of the premier league but if Arsenal cough up the right price he will be allowed to go.

Yep. That's pretty much how it works.

I think it would take Arsenal £50m+ to acquire Suarez, whereas if Real Madrid came in with an offer of £45m I think we'd take it.

I would love to think that if Arsenal bid £55m we'd turn it down.

They may get desperate and just call our bluff on that one. I just hope something clicks in Luis' head/heart and he comes out and publicly commits to the club. Would love to see yje reactions of the gooners then. Cunts.

Be a huge statement from the club - one I'd love for us to make.
