will be in the limelight, causing distractions on and off the pitch, creating a bit of ****ty atmosphere
will no doubt be involved in some sort of ugly incident again this season - even if he is 100% innocent, something somewhere will happen.
come january window and if he stays next summer - we will just be going through all this again

When i look at all that, then in if we could get the money and signings in like the below id do it

Sell Suarez (£50m to english side, £45m to foriegn side)

    sign
    Costa £22m
    Papadoupolous £12m
Cissokho or another LB for £2m

plus spend the remaining £10m to £15m on a new centre mid

do it - squad overall will be stronger and they would be a real buzz and excitement about the place with no negative issues
I just can't help looking at that and thinking we should be doing that along with keeping Suarez if we're to get anywhere near the top.

Obviously if it's out of our hands and he leaves then it would be a good start to life without Suarez.

Maybe he wanted all the attention to be on Gerrard as it was his day, so volunteered to stay away.

As someone mention previously, there could be many reasons why he didn’t go, we are all just guessing.

I also think it’s fair to assume that Gerrard wont have changed his stance on wanting him to stay, so why should it bother us as fans if he did or didn’t go to a dinner?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

totally agree - if we want to be challenging we need those 4 players AND suarez.

but if i had to choose between keeping suarez or signing the four players - right now i'd prob go for the four players, because as good as suarez is, i've got to a stage where i'm sick of hearing about him - would prefer to improve the squad in a few areas and move on.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Do we know for sure that he wasn't at the dinner or are we just guessing because we didn't see him (or many other players) in photos?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Staying away was always going to attract far more attention than him attending though so, without too much offence RedReet, that's utter bollocks

And it's utterly irrelevant if he went or not, I'm just extremely, painfully bored

I think there are far too many reports, to assume he wasn't. Not to mention it would have easily been corrected by now if he was.

                **** off.

I disagree, the only place it matters that he wasn't there was places like this, I doubt anyone batted an eyelid at the dinner.

He is acting like a spoilt kid. Not going to the dinner is all part of the sulk.

People who don't usually talk out of their arse like Bascombe have said he wasn't, so that one seems likely.

Honestly though, I find it all a bit unfortunate that anything to do with Gerrard's testimonial was overshadowed by the Suarez thing, as has been said above perhaps he decided / agreed to stay away so as not to divert more attention from the purpose of the event. Besides, Stevie G has had tons and tons of teammates over his career at Anfield, Luis has really not even been a major part of that (they can't have played more than about 50 games together you'd think), not sure Luis' attendance (or not) would be a particularly relevant or important thing.

I once took a bet that I could last 10 minutes without winking/blinking. I lasted about 30 seconds FFS. Bet lost. It's ****ing impossible.

                        Therefore, you're talking bollocks again

I suppose its possible he was asked to stay away due to his attendance might overshadow the evening

                            I guess I can't argue with that.

Not seen any pictures of about 15 other squad members there yet, are they sulking aswell or is that ok?
