It's obviously rubbish, but what if they offered us £80m?

So you're saying they've spent money in anticipation of selling a player who they're hoping not to sell?Originally posted by Bender View Postwell seeing as they have already spent near £60million that's most of the bale money gone and that's if he leaves otherwise they will have spent money they probably didn't have

It depends how the situation pans out over the next few weeks. He's thick and I don't think he would put principles before playing football and earning money. He's not happy being overshadowed by Van Persie and if Suarez left then Rooney would be the star striker here. I'm not saying it's likely to happen, but it's not impossible.Originally posted by rcasemore View Post

A) They'd never sell
B) He'd never come

No chance of this whatsoever, when was the last player to transfer directly between us and them ? And then there are his wage demands - something like £200k p/w which there is no way we'd pay and we also have no CL football to offer which he's been playing for the best part of 19 years.
I'll reiterate no chance of this whatsoever

He's got a long way to go undoing his doings and I dont believe he has the capacity (or willingness) to atone for his behaviour thus far.........unless he makes his agent his scapegoat citing bad advice etc.
BR (and the Ckub) need to continue as they have, holding firm and hopefully we will get one more season out of LS beforw moving him on.
