Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Mokbel and Cross (the Arsenal boys) are saying he's going to keep quiet. New charm offensive from Arsenal aimed at getting him. They end the articles by saying Arsenal's new bid will be much less than £50m though. So much for Luis and Pere presenting evidence this week that the clause is legit......

So we've said we're not selling to Arsenal no matter what and the Arsenal are going to put a new charm offensive to get him.

What do they not get? It's not up to him, we don't want to sell especially to them. cross et al are I think doing a job for Arsenal to show they've done their best this summer to get players in whilst nobody but one young French chap have arrived.

What has happened during the past week or so? Couldn't be arsed checking.

Seeing that he's still here, I can safely assume that he's going nowhere now? I read somewhere that Arsenal had to buy him before mid-August to register him to their CL squad.
                  Are we winning?

From a footballing perspective I do, he's one of the best players in the world and having the money makes no difference if we can't attract players of sufficient quality

Me three. Can’t get my head around anyone saying they would rather us do worse without him in the team than keep him here and be successful.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I want him gone because he damages the reputation of the club which, in the scheme of things, is more significant in my mind than any (probably very) moderate success he might bring to us by staying.

I want him gone. If he stays this season will just be full of speculation about him and it will do more harm than good. Yes it may cost us 4th, but the club is bigger than any one player and he has acted like a tool

If he doesn't act like a nob and gets down to playing football (no biting or potentially racist comments) then I'm very much in favour of his staying. I don't really care about the speculation if he's scoring for us. If he's going to distract the team and contribute little then keeping him is clearly a stupid idea. It's a tough call IMO and I'm hoping that Rodgers/Henry et al. have a better view on it than me.
