Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

massively important that we can get a couple more league wins before he comes back

if so, then once he comes back into the side, refreshed and seemingly happy for now then all being well we could find ourselves in a great position come january, and then hopefully he won't want to/need to move
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Thats me in a nutshell. I didnt do the diving thing as I was an attacker who transformed into a defender, due to losing our CB's for a few games. I loved it so much. It was great to be dishing it out rather than being on the receiving end. I never really played again as an attacker unless we needed some else upfront to push for a result. My mother came to watch me, only once and she disappeared at half time. When I spoke to her later, she said. She was disturbed/ashamed/shocked and didnt recognise me as the son she had raised when I was on the pitch.....

I know if people judged me as a person by how I acted on a football pitch, their judgement would be wildly different to what I'm really like as a person.

Think I misunderstood you the first time, but what you said pretty much covered here in Dom's answer. I have seen plenty of how he's acted outside the pitch as well, to be able to not like him. That goes for his time here as well as his last time in Ajax. To me it also tells a lot how he acts on the pitch for sure, whether it be biting, his flapping the arms all the time etc., not really endearing to me. I could probably let it go by if that was it, but all this summer stuff and earlier acts off the pitch have just put me off him.

Perhaps knowing as a 'person' is not the best expression, but I don't really have another word for it.

It doesn't though - how someone behaves on a football pitch cannot inform you as to what he is really like. You might not like it but that's his on-pitch persona. Like I said if you judged me on how I acted on the pitch you'd think I was aggressive, unreasonable and plenty of other things I'm not.

To what "earlier acts off the pitch" do you refer? He's never been in trouble off the pitch. You surely can't be referring to him saying he wants to leave a football club?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I really started to dislike him just for that interview (the part about not leaving to our rivals, because Liverpool are no competition to Arsenal especially), it was insulting, disrespectful and without a single thought about what the club has done for him during his antics on the pitch - which I don't mind really, I thought he was just mental and I loved that. But it turned out he's just little rat.

I think it's just a side-discussion, where you don't find it appropriate that I say I dislike him as a person, or at least not warmed to him, whereas I have no other way to describe it in my limited English vocabulary. I think the enterity of how he represents himself on/off the pitch is frankly dislikening to me, and he most of all comes off as a petulant child as described earler. I don't find that characteristic endearing, and therefore I dislike him for that. I think he has great ability as a footballer when focused on that, and when not loosing his head or acting like a child on the pitch.

I only have what he represents himself with on the pitch, as well as in the interviews, or information about him put in the media (by himself or someone else - we don't know), but together it represents anything but a likealbe person to me.

The Torres-esque like attempt to move, but not even having the balls to make the transfer-request, the u-turn about being in England when Arsenal came calling and generally just his attitude towards it have done him no favours.

Agani perhaps person is wrong, personality better? Or public-personality?

Anyways, conclusion is me not like what I see

I can understand that many will struggle to be endeared to him because of his antics. Yes he has brought that on himself

For me. I love hime. He is passionate about football. He has the desire to win (at all costs). He is the ultimate competitor. He is one of the worlds best footballers.

What has happened on the pitch apart. I feel a lot of what happened has been blown out of proportion by the press (in fact the stuff on the pitch was also blown out of proportion). It is easy to paint this picture. For instance sometime last week there was one rag showing pictures of a happy Suarez laughing and joking with his team mates. Another rag was portraying a miserable ****er. The pictures where taken at the same point in time as the subject matter (the players) where the same. However, they picked out the split second photos that made him look really pissed off with things

If you cant be endeared to him. Just love the goals and the success he will bring to us on his return

While we're judging players as human beings, do we all love Toure?

I was looking up the hilarious car dealer story the other day to discover the full story (I don't know if it's true or just newspaper allegations). And it's not quite so hilarious after all.

If it is true I'm not judging him for it. Like I said earlier we all have feet of clay and really it's nobody else's business. I do though wonder what would be said if it had been Suárez.
