IMO it is only when a few players acts in a very bad way on or off the pitch that it will hurt the image of the club and not only when one or two players do it.

Then it will only hurt the player and not the club.

I agree with Arn. If anything doing what he did made us look stronger. He made himself look like a petulant kid who couldn't have the toy he wanted.

personally think he's going to make a hell of a difference to our team now he's back

i'm pretty confident that once we have a fit and sharp trio of Suarez/Coutinho/Sturridge playing regularly that we'll see a big improvement throughout the team

I think Ayre do more damage than Suarez actions did because he talks about it very often. He connects the incidents to the image of the club and that is something he shouldn't do IMO.

He should try his very best to put as much distance between the image of club and what Suarez did as possible.

The only way it hurts the club is that we will get a lower transfer fee if we sell him IMO.

Well he should do - The +£1.00 bid was a pisstake, Spurs and Boro both reported us for the same thing, why not us in this instance, or is there more than to this than has been revealed ?

maybe the actual offer was £40m + Chamack but we saw that as a £1 value!!

Back to Ayre, why does he need to give an interview? Idiot. He should just shut the fock up. Wouldn't get the MDs of other clubs giving interviews with players like this. He strikes me as the type of guy that likes the whole showbiz aspect of being MD of LFC. Like when a player signs a new contract, its the pic of Ian Ayre we get to see next to him with the pen in his hand. And the Harley. I imagine him going into the dressing room after a win going all "hey lads where are we off to celebrate then???" The ****.

LFC used to be an institution. Under Moores and Parry it lost a bit of that. Under Hicks and Gillett it lost a lot of that. With Ayre at the wheel, it hasn't exactly made any strides in the opposite direction either....

I think the ESPN article was taken from quotes he made whilst speaking at a sports industry forum so not an interview as such.

Its not the Liverpool way really, but he does like the limelight unfortunately.

He didn't. However people like him speak at industry & business events all the time (which is where this has come from), are you suggesting he shouldn't do things that are completely normal for his job? FFS

He should never speak, he should learn from Ian Cotton.

He should speak about the club a lot. He just isn't that great doing it.

One question I would ask him is why he connected what Suarez did with the Liverpool FC brand?

                              It isn't connected at all.

Both Suarez and Ayre talks about it to much. It is almost like he wanted the headlines he knew would follow.

Suarez isn't the brighest tool in the box and you can say the same thing about Ayre.

How can you say they're not connected?
When one of the most important parts of the brand at the time says he doesn't want to be a part anymore, of course it effects the brand. It effects sponsors and it effects new signings etc.
