That's around the time I got into football. My favourite player was Gheorghe Hagi though. Would love to have seen his left boot grace Anfield.

Both top players but need more time before Luis can be properly evaluated and compared to Henry.

Henry was brilliant for a longer period. I also think in terms of playing style Torres of 2007-2009 was closer to Henry than Suarez.

I do think Suarez has a much higher ceiling than Henry though. Henry at his peak was never a strong favorite for the world player of the year. I think Suarez if he continues improving can reach close to that level.

I also don't think the PL has ever seen a forward with so much skills and creativity. When Ronaldo and Rooney developed they morphed into more effective goal scorers and I think lost a bit of their skills. Every game consistently Suarez pulls of moves which make everyone jump out of their seats. Proper box office player!!!

He's been given the deflected goal v West Ham. So that's 15 in 10.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I thought he deserved that goal too TBH. 15 in 10. And that's after coming back from a (self-inflicted) spell out. No signs of rustiness at all. He just came back better than ever. Immense. Absolutely immense.

Looks like he's in the form he was at Ajax when he scored something like 35 goals in 33 league games? I just hope he's enjoying this as much as I am
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

So the most lethal striker in Europe, and by some margin. Pay him anything he asks for to keep him here

**** me! Have not seen these names for a long time. Just show how much I've aged. Actually going further back it's actually Cantona who first set the premiership alight.

                        I hope not!!

Don't want him spunking out all his energy. Need that on the pitch.

                        One tit for another.

Yeah I think they were different situations though. Cantona wasn't a big name over here, went on trial at Sheff Wednesday who weren't that arsed and so he signed for Leeds. Klinsmann was a superstar, a proper foreign superstar when he signed.

Ardiles is the first top player from overseas I can remember coming to play here.

Aye......but in terms of starting the wave of top overseas players, Klinsmann was the trigger. Obviously Ardiles came, Metgod ....and a few others, but they were intermittent and infrequent until the mid 90s. What we see now was IMO started by Klinsmann.
