'Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.'
Excellent news. A very clever move by all at Liverpool; secure his services before January and it stops rumours being parped in the media. It allows us to secure new signings with the promise of 'playing with Suarez' and it ensures there is no side show, allowing all to concentrate on getting back in the Champions League.
I'm not naive enough to think there won't be any activity come the summer, but if we're back in the Champions League and Suarez is happy, we have him for his prime years ... aces.
Also, fair play to FSG for financing such a deal that goes against their normal business practices. It shows that they are flexible when it's required and they'll stump up the funds if such an opportunity arises.
Brilliant news! Dont think we'll lose him now, not because contracts mean loads but because I dont think he'll go this summer and as the years tick by clubs arent going to pay anywhere near what we'd want when he's around 28.

Great coup by Liverpool to get Suarez to sign new deal. His desire to leave in summer turned around by their remarkable season. And a few £s
Luis Suarez signs new long-term Liverpool deal
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
Suarez, who joined the Reds in January 2011, has scored 17 goals in 11 Premier League starts this season.
His original contract was set to expire in 2016.
"I am delighted to have agreed a new deal with Liverpool and have my future secured for the long term. We have some great players and the team is improving all the time," said the 26-year-old.
"I believe I can achieve the ambitions of winning trophies and playing at the very highest level with Liverpool. My aim is to help get us there as quickly as possible."
