He provokes and is so intelligent with his movement. If he has a bad game he still creates space for others. And he is lethal. His anticipation for his goal was incredible. The ball stuck to his foot, when he controlled it, like velcro, think Souness coined that term yesterday, then with his next touch it was in the back of the net.
    Are we winning?

That move he made vs Jones that led to De Gea super save, just before he actually scored, was something else.

The drive that he has to get to the ball first any way possible is incredible.

      You just cannot stop him.

Thought exactly the same watching it

Because he didn't score all the other stuff that went on in game and the save gets all the attention from the media, was a great reflex save too, but Luis knew he'd put it too close to DeGea, the look on his face.. that same look every time he misses...like he's about to burst into tears!

But as you say, the way he creates the chance to shoot in the first place is awesome, determination and skill combined to the max.

He is never ever satisfied and always wants more, which is truly great to see.

I was anticipating a Newcastle type feint and stroke into the net but I don't blame him for blasting it. It really was a good save.

De Gea is the only player I'd take from the Mancs.

Luis is awesome, we are so fortunate to have him in our team. He's will to win is unbelievable, he's like a man possessed.

You can't train a player that, it just comes from within. Usually you have a player who is a 10/10 in terms of ability but for desire he's only say a 6/10 ie le tissier. Vice versa you can have a player that doesn't have all the ability in the world but will try all day long ie kuyt.

But with Luis he is 10/10 in both ability & desire. He's the nearest to kenny, since kenny. He's desire is unique, and that is infectious.

That's why I think he is gonna fire us to the league title.

I have to echo the comment's of being the best ever striker at LFC. The volley against Arsenal, the one that crashed off the post would have probably been the best goal I would have ever seen...gutted for him it didn't go in. Love him.

Anyone think he will be off this summer still? We will obviously be making Top 4. But do you think he will agitate again?

From Rush, Fowler, Owen to Torres and Suarez. Only that little gap in between Owen and Torres, where we had Cisse, Crouch and Baros. And Suarez is the best of the lot - yes, better than Rush and Fowler - which is amazing really.
that would be that little gap where we won the european cup

                          Agree now, just wondering really.

Think if he did want off again, we could expect world record transfer type money for him.

Although at this point he is pretty much unreplaceable.

Yeah, no way. I think he's genuinely contented at Liverpool. We're a united club challenging at the top while playing absolutely top football.

I also think he takes pride in helping and nurturing younger players in the first team; look how he talks to the likes of Sterling and Flanno on the pitch. Mentoring is probably big with him, and he can't get this kind of interaction at any other big-profile club.

Nothing would surprise me when it comes to Luis tbh. I can quite easily see him being courted over the summer by Real Madrid - thank **** none of their players are Uruguayan or he would have his ass tapped up all summer.

Personally I think Madrid is his dream move, and somewhere down the line he will want that move, I just hope its not this summer!

Suarez deserves to be Player of the Year, but he must battle Sturridge, Gerrard, Sterling and Henderson to be voted Liverpool No 1

                                By DOMINIC KING

                                PUBLISHED: 08:35, 18 March 2014 | UPDATED: 08:35, 18 March 2014

Awards season is approaching and Luis Suarez should be primed to make some space in his trophy cabinet for the prizes that are sure to come his way.

After moving his tally for the current campaign on to 25 on Sunday, when sealing the momentous 3-0 win at Old Trafford, Suarez’s odds to be crowned the PFA Player of the Year contracted further.

It is highly likely he will double up, too, with the Football Writers’ gong. Nobody in the division can match his potential to produce the spectacular.

All things being equal, he should complete a clean sweep by receiving Liverpool’s own Player of the Season trophy and not too many people would argue about that, given how spell-binding the Uruguay striker has been since he returned to action in September.

                                Or would they?

It says everything for the way Liverpool have been playing that Suarez probably faces more competition for the in-house accolade than he does for the trophies that will be presented later this spring.

Think about it. What would your shortlist be for the PFA award? Eden Hazard would have to be in there, John Terry also. Aaron Ramsey had a spectacular start to the season but has not been sighted since Christmas, while Sergio Aguero has suffered with injuries also.

Essentially, Suarez has two strong rivals to be crowned the PFA’s top performer but at Anfield you could possibly double that figure, given how many players have contributed to this unexpected surge for the championship.

First there is Daniel Sturridge. In an ‘ordinary’ year and without Suarez at the club, his achievements would be screamed from the rooftop. He’s got 18 goals in the Premier League, will go to the World Cup as England’s top gun yet Suarez’s brilliance means he is not even Liverpool’s main man.

He is a player bursting with confidence – as illustrated with some of the back-heeled flicks and tricks that he aired at Old Trafford – and his importance to Liverpool cannot be understated; there is little doubt Sturridge would secure a percentage of the vote.

Yet so, too, would Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson. The progress they have made over the last 12 months is a prime example of Rodgers’ work as a coach, he has instilled tactical discipline and understanding and harnessed their ability.

They are making impacts in the games that matter now and have long since quelled any doubts over whether they could play a long-term role for Liverpool. Sterling has been barely put a foot out of place since breaking back into the team on December 1. Henderson has been similarly consistent.

There are four candidates and that is without even mentioning the captain. Rodgers has devised a system to get the best out of Steven Gerrard and it is working a treat; he is Liverpool’s quarterback, the man who has been responsible for setting the tone since the turn of the year.

Gerrard has been revitalised, looks fit and strong, and you sense that his influence will become even stronger over the next nine games. He is Liverpool’s standard-bearer, the beating heart of this charge to an end a 24-year wait to be England’s best.

If the ultimate dream does come true and Liverpool are crowned champions, it would be inconceivable if Gerrard does not command significant backing when the votes are counted out to determine who has been the standout.

When it has mattered, he has been there. Nerveless penalties against Newcastle, Fulham and Manchester United, a bullet header to change the tone of the Merseyside Derby, a glorious pass that led to a point being saved against Aston Villa – Gerrard has been responsible for them all.

Others, most notably Martin Skrtel, can also feel well satisfied with what they have contributed, even if it hasn’t been as spectacular and regular as Suarez. He, in all probability, will complete a clean sweep and few would begrudge him it.

Should he do that, however, he would be the first to recognise a collective effort has elevated him there.
