Uruguay FA say they are confident Luis Suarez will be able to take part at World Cup after suffering a knee injury in training.
Don't care if he misses the world cup, he'll get over it. Having an op and rushing back to try and make it is worst case scenario for us. On the plus side the vultures might back off this summer to see if it affects him long term.

Fernando Torres had meniscus surgery ahead of 2010 World Cup. Operation was on April 18 and he played his first game seven weeks later
.......and he was never the same player again. Hope they're careful with him. I know Suarez doesn't remotely rely on pace but it could be a dangerous game this.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
I know I'm being selfish but I'd rather he rests now. Don't trust injuries picked up in build ups to world cups. With the pressure, they normally aren't treated as well as they should. Hope the club have a say in this.

I fear that Luis will be pushing to play in the WC even if he's not remotely fit.

Uruguayan TV says @luis16suarez out of WC2014, agent says he's in. A nice twist to build-up as England fans fret over someone else's injury
Club bias aside, not having him or Costa at the world cup (I'm sure there was someone else high-profile out through injury too?) would be a massive shame.
Gutted for Luis if he does indeed miss out
Falcao dude.
Gutted for / about luis. They better not **** him up.
Gutted for Suarez. All I care about is how he is for us.
Fingers crossed he's OK.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
If this is true I am totally gutted for him, the WC is the perfect stage for his talents and he clearly has so much passion and love for his country. Hope it is all just twittertalk and he is ok for the summer.
