I think its inevitable he will go (sooner or later) and when he does it will be to Madrid or Barcelona
Hes South American and they all seem to see Madrid or Barcelona as the Holy Grail for them
Hes also 27 (hes contracted to the club till hes at least 30) and you would have to question how much longer will his value stay high. You also have to remember that any release clause will also take a large sum of money to trigger it and the older he gets the less likely there will be that someone will pay that clause amount
I hope we fight tooth and nail to keep him for as long as possible because no amount of money is going to guarantee a similar contribution from his replacements
However I cant say I'm that confident he will stay, but then I wasnt confident either last summerBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

He will never have a better season than he just had IMO. I think a bid from Real or Barca is inevitable and I can understand the lure for him, I just hope he gives us one more season.
I would absolutely love to see him play in the CL for us, and hopefully we can show him some signings of the calibre to make him realise we really mean business next season. I think he does have unfinished business here still.
He should also look at the likes of Michael Owen and Torres to see that the grass is not always greener when you leave the hallowed turf of Anfield."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley
