Umm, he's a grown man, and he's biting people. That's biting someone. Like a dog would bite someoneOriginally posted by G View PostExactly, it's ****ing nothing in the grand scheme of things, players get legs broken with dangerous challenges, head butts can break cheeks or noses, a bite usually barely breaks the skin. The outrage is ridiculous. He should get the same ban a headbutt would get and nothing more.
It's a much, much more serious and controversial action than a reckless challenge or a headbutt. It's nuts. It's completely ****ing bat**** mental
I mean, biting someone? Who the **** bites someone!! THREE TIMES!!

Luis Suarez is a genius with his feet but otherwise he is a ****ing idiot.
If he was playing for another club everybody here would label him an absolute scumbag. I also think this 'he has mental issues' argument is complete bollocks. He is a 27 year old man who had twice previously bitten opponents. He isn't a toddler, he knows it wrong and he CAN control himself but he chooses not to.
It isn't instinctive for a human to bite to defend themselves or cause injury. He isn't a dog.
I'm not fussed though because we all knew he was like this. The media storm he has just caused is really boring/frustrating now though and he has made Gerrard and Rodgers look like total bellends for claiming he had changed his character.
There will always be a risk with Suarez doing this sort of thing but imo its a risk still worth taking for LFC.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

He needs to take ownership & responsibility for this ongoing issue he has and stop blaming everyone else. The bloke has serious issues and they cannot be clouded by being 'overly competitive' or whatever excuse is given. If he played for Chelsea or United we'd be all over him I guess. The club has been around since 1892, Suarez is a very small part of things.ON THE COUCH...

In terms of injury it's no big deal, but I don't think you can ignore the stigma attacked to biting, how it breaks social norms and etiquette. If he went round sticking his finger up opponents bums it wouldn't cause serious injury but it's still significantly different to most other forms of physical violence. The authorities have a duty of care to all players and they can rightly expect to be protected from being bitten on the field. Even if you don't buy that it's significantly different, it is clearly intended to hurt. Repeatedly committing acts that are done soley to hurt and injure others (and can't be construed as part of the game like poorly timed tackles) should be treated harshly.Originally posted by G View PostExactly, it's ****ing nothing in the grand scheme of things, players get legs broken with dangerous challenges, head butts can break cheeks or noses, a bite usually barely breaks the skin. I don't buy this at all. Yes it's unacceptable and not a common occurrence but that doesn't make it worse. If I had the choice between a nibble on my shoulder or a broken nose I know what I'd be picking. Biting doesn't happen as often as the others hence the outrage. The frequency of bad tackles or attempted headbutts have dulled our attitudes onwards them. We should punish him based on what damage his actions cause, ie **** all.Originally posted by Fierce View PostUmm, he's a grown man, and he's biting people. That's biting someone. Bollocks. Instinct my arse. How does just about every other footballer manage to control their 'instinct' if Suarez can't.Originally posted by Mostar View PostIt's an instinctive reaction. Not something he has control over it.
Cannot defend what he has done but at the same time this is the best thing that could have happened to us.
He's an idiot. A total lunatic idiot. He just happens to be our brilliant total lunatic idiot.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
