To an extent, yeah you are correct.

However - FIFA can't go making **** up like this as they go along. The rule is that it's 3 games for violent conduct. I believe this falls under that bracket. Although a "special" case. I think that the 9 international games would have sufficed.

"Liverpool Football Club will wait until we have seen and had time to review the FIFA Disciplinary Committee report before making any further comment."

Can the club feasibly ask UEFA for help in appealing the 'total ban' so as to make him available for LFC?

            What a ****ing mess.

It's unbelievable. So even if we wanted to get rid of him our hands are tied on that too. We're receiving unbelievable punishment here and it's got nothing to do with us in reality.

Imagine in the work place if an employee bit someone out of work and the employer had to suspend him on full pay for four months and couldn't sack him

They've clarified it now. He can transfer. Nobody would pay a decent fee so why sell him.

I'm really interested to see how the club handles this.

I'm no expert, but while Liverpool have no right of direct appeal, surely it wouldn't prevent us from going to the International Court of Arbitration for Sport. If we did though, our press would have a field day.

Another thought. About whether "all footballing activity" covers transfers or not: we don't know Liverpool's position yet, but if they were angling for preventing Suarez from leaving, could they try to argue that FIFA's ruling prevents them from selling him?
No! I am NOT in denial!

So FIFA says we're allowed to sell him this summer. Probably just halved his transfer value but get rid of him.

Club are not supporting him though. They are challenging the principle that this sets a precedent that ANY player can receive a domestic ban while representing his country

Out of curiosity, what length ban did Pepe get that time for trying to kick someones head off, then repatedly going back and stepping on his hand piching him etc while he's on the deck injured ?

How many months was it again ? repeat offender and all that it must have been a while...

Bollocks to that. If we sell him we have to ensure we aren't being mugged off, I still wouldn't get out of bed for a penny less than £60m.
