Luis sent me this message on Facebook.
Hi all, I write this message to thank all signs of support and love that I am getting. Both I and my family thank you much. Thank you very much for being by my side and I want that all today to support my fellow selection for the match against Colombia.

Liverpool FC (his employers) and also Uruguay for letting them down as well? Just a thought really, it might show he isn't such a selfish **** and does actually consider others when he acts as ridiculously as he does!
I'm loving all the support he's getting on here, let's see how many are still in his corner when he engineers his next move.ON THE COUCH...

Nothing to do with them. And all to do with how much I rate Luis Suarez.
People talk about his goals record last year but it barely scratches the surface. The man is much more than the goals he scores.
31 goals in 33 games. 17 assists in 33 games. 5 penalties won in 33 games. The man is the absolute be all and end all of our attacking play.
Do people remember what God awful football we played without him early on in the season? We were putting out Gerard Houllier 11 men behind the ball type football, with little creativity and goal threat. The man is everything that is good about our attacking play.
He terrorizes defenders, he never stops, he creates chances for his teammates by the bucketloads, he works his Uruguayan arse off, he wins penalties, gets players sent off, wins free kicks, scores free kicks,. Everything that is good about the team is good because it's a team made in Luis Suarez's image: Creative, fluid, hard working, passionate and hungry.
He elevates the players he plays with. Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Henderson, Cristian Rodriguez, Edinson Cavani etc... are all better players when Luis Suarez is on the pitch. His mere presence terrifies defenders, fit or not fit, one good knee or not. You cannot buy that fear, that panic. You cannot replace that with anyone out there on the market.
Defenders must look at his name on the team sheet before they go out and face him and take a massive, deep breath. That's something which is very rare in football. And that's quite normal when you realize he is the most unique footballer in the world at the moment.
The man is a combination of the most passionate sportsmen of all time. He's like a hybrid of Roberto Duran and Diego Maradona. He'll beat you with his talent, play you off the park, meg you, make you look like a fool, inspire all his teammates, take a pounding, get beaten and bruised and if that fails punch you, kick you, bite you, use every trick in the book because this man will refuse to be beaten.
We've never had anyone in our history with this much will to win. Not even Souness. I love Brendan Rodgers, I love his Liverpool team. But Luis Suarez is the man who dragged us from 7th to within a slip of the league title, the biggest one season improvement in modern times. The star players, the big players, the international players in this side: when they're in trouble, who do they look to? Luis Suarez. And Luis Suarez is the man who takes the responsibility on his shoulders.
This is not a Falcao leaving Madrid or Bale leaving Spurs situation. Suarez is our main creative talent, our main goal scoring talent and our main fighting talent. He is all of those rolled into one. You can't replace that and you certainly can't hope to buy anyone nearly as good as him.
This is a man who played in Uruguay till the early hours of a Thursday morning, got on a plane, arrived in Liverpool on Friday and starred in a Merseyside derby the next morning; jet lagged, bruised and beaten. Yet he still performed like the best player on the pitch, got scythed in two with one of the most despicable tackles of the season, and just got up and kept working his arse off.
People who think this man can be replaced without us going through a hell of a tough transition period are living in, with all due respect, cloud cuckoo land. You don't lose 1 of the top 3 players in the world and the biggest warrior in world sport and just brush it off and move forwards or even sideways.
We need to do everything in our power to keep him as long as possible. Use every trick in the book, forgive any transgression, any tantrum and just keep him. But I know that's a pipe dream.
As far as I’m concerned, if he goes, then he goes with my full blessing. I've been expecting his departure since the United 3-1 Kuyt Kuyt Kuyt game in 2010. I could see how talented he was and how impossible it would be to keep a player of his calibre away from Madrid or Barcelona for too long.
I'll remember him with great fondness. The cheekiness of Robbie Fowler, the tenacity and hard work of Dirk Kuyt, the back to goal brilliance of Kenny Dalglish, the flair of John Barnes, the dribbling skills of Steve Mcmanaman, the unpredictability of Titi Camara, the heart of Steven Gerrard, the creativity of Peter Beardsley, the nastiness of Graeme Souness, the goal threat of Michael Owen, the business of Kevin Keegan, the impervious to injury record of Ian Callaghan, the star power of Fernando Torres aligned with the desire to use every single blade of grass on the football pitch that is unique to him.
Thank you Luis for entertaining me these last 3 and a half years like no other Sportsmen has done during my 33 years on earth.

Yeh I'm kinda taken a back at how much support he has got. Biting is just football and not real life according to rowan and few others . Be disgusted at Suarez biting people and you're considered the moral police

He doesn't consider anyone, it's odd moments of blind insanity. That's kind of the whole point and why it keeps happening.Originally posted by Chilts33 View PostLiverpool FC (his employers) and also Uruguay for letting them down as well? I'd add to your list fans both ours and Uraguays who he's let down.
However he's probably better waiting until after any appeals are over

Actually my bone of contention was the idea that it was "****ing disgraceful really" that people didn't share your own view on things. You're entitled to have your own view on Suarez and the actions that should be taken around him but to widely question the ethics of those that don't share that view is bang out of order. My opinion is that this is totally out of proportion and his actions, while a nuts, don't deserve either the penalty received. And I hope I do get to see him play for us again soon as he's ****ing ace and watching him slay defenders makes me very happy. That's my opinion and you've no right to label me or anyone else a ****ing disgrace for holding it.Originally posted by danperkins View Post

Be disgusted at Suarez biting people and you're considered the moral policeA lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Where did I say that? I said I don't want a guy at the club that acts like a Scumbag and bites people... Lot of people saying they don't care what he did... And still want him at the club. I think that's just warped but I'm trying moral police apparently.Originally posted by dom9 View PostWhat are you on?
