His career goals ratio is also nearly 1 in 2. Which is decent considering the teams he plays in.

Just looking into his stats a bit more now:Originally posted by Alex View PostHis career goals ratio is also nearly 1 in 2. Which is decent considering the teams he plays in.
- He's got an excellent injury record, barely seems to miss a game. About 50 appearances a season.
- He's averaged 25 goals a season for the past 4 seasons with Real Madrid.
- He's won 4 league titles with Lyon, one in Spain and one Champions League.
Hard to scoff at that really in fairness, but there's still something about him I'm not sure about

I know what you mean mate. I think it's because Suarez has set the benchmark so high that whoever comes in to replace him (for want of a better phrase) will be a downgrade.
With Suarez we'll miss more than just his goals. His workrate, skill and sheer audacity is just incredible.

benzema is very good striker - top striker - whether or not he's what we need/could fit him i'm not sure - but i'd be pretty ****ing buzzing if we signed him anyway
If there was a possibilty of getting him i'd take it...
i'd prob prefer higuain
. i also think for a couple of seasons that Tevez could be a better fit for us
but i defo wouldn't turn my nose up at higuain - and with real after falcao i believe, then it could be he's on his way out.
attacking options of these would be very very tasty
sturridge
benzema
sterling
markovic
coutinho
lallana
lambert
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Benzema I take it, yeah he could be good for us but that would mean us having to play two strikers again, I'd prefer a wide attacker with goals in him so the team could be a little bit more solid than last season. Sturridge and Benzema up top? Could it work?Originally posted by PTP View Postbenzema is very good striker - top striker - whether or not he's what we need/could fit him i'm not sure - but i'd be pretty ****ing buzzing if we signed him anyway

Clearly Benzema is one of the top strikers in Europe. Yes, he's a step down from Suarez but who isn't?
However, I don't think he's available and I don't think he'd be interested in joining us. But would he improve the first 11 and squad post-Suarez? Undoubtedly.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

There's a picture doing the rounds on twitter of Suarez against Everton and there are eight (EIGHT!) Everton players in shot, 4 of them are within about 3 yards of him
It's exactly like the Maradona against Belgium or Iniesta against Holland picture.
No player is bigger than the club blah blah etc but **** we are going to miss him big time. He was directly involved in over half of our goals and his mere presence on the pitch clearly helped us immeasurably.
Praying we buy well with the money we get. It's an odd mix of excitement and fear
It's exciting that we still have a very talented, young squad and a top manager/owner, but fear that we may just **** it up. Clearly we aren't going to do a Torres/Carroll and I do trust us to spend it wisely. It's the not knowing

I'm still clinging to the less than 1% chance that Luis will invite all the LFC squad and management around to his house to give his farewell speach. I can imagine it. He addresses Gerrard - remember the time we beat Man United...and you called that guy RVP a ****in prick? Remember when i pulled the hair of that little runt Rafael. Then to Rodgers...... remember when everyone thought LFC was too big for you? And remember when i dived in front of that useless **** Moyes in his dugout?
All this followed by a wolf-of-wall-street style "you know what......i'm not ****in going!"
