But if there's no prospect of banging a stunner for at least a year, the old girlfriend would surely be preferable to swollen nuts.

I voted yes, only because the club should always be looking to achieve success in all competitions it has the possibility to play in. Yes its an inconvenience but it's a trophy.
Next season our squad will hopefully be better equipped so the demands for competing on all fronts qualification permitting, should not be as difficult as it was this season.
I do understand the view points of the no camp but if we have the possibility we should try and qualify... It would be ideal if they'd change the timing to the weeks in between CL fixtures, as was suggested by Craig... But I guess that is to simple for the dickheads at Uefa!

That would be nice wouldn't it. Brum stay up and Spurs out of Europe ( as long as we win mindOriginally posted by Djimi Cruyff View PostVoted yes.
I don't agree with the nonsense that "it's a distraction".We don't have to play a strong team in it and the likes of Spearing,Shelvey and Kelly have benefited from it this year and other fringe players would benefit next season.I'll hoping for a Birmingham upset on Sunday.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Surely that was at least in part due to the terminal ennui induced by The Bodgersaurus though?Originally posted by Charly View PostI seem to remember we earnt a similar amount in 2001. Caertainly the money makes it worthwhile, if you are in it to win it, as well as the prestige, for both the trophy and the club.

Pros and cons either way, so not fully bothered. But I would rather we were IN Europe than not.
It makes us a more attractive club to prospective signings.
It means more money and could be the difference between a top player and an average player when the FFP rules kick in. Fulham made ten million, we are bigger than them so would make far more. Don't come crying if we miss out on the second coming of Messi cos we lack a few million.
It helps with the development of players, young and old. European football is so different to English football. To go straight from no European football to CL football would mean a gap in the football education of some of the younger players and we'd suffer because of it.
Co-effecient points. I've not seen this mentioned yet which I find very suprising. When we were tearing up Europe we made it up to number one ranked team in Europe under Rafa. That came from regularly playing well in Europe. A high points total means a better seeding position and thus a better chance of sn easier draw.
If we don't play in Europe we only get the points that comes from playing in the premier league. We've likely already dropped out of the top 8 seeded teams now, no European football could mean dropping out of the first 16 seeded teams. I don't know what you guys think, but a CL group of Barcelona, Porto and Zenit doesn't sound that easy - and that's the kind of group we'd get.Forwards.......
