You can't tell me that we don't practice set pieces, where to put the ball in and the runs that should be made - that's 101 training even at non league level, these runs I am sure are made as is the movement but if the ball isn't put in right area's time after time you're not going to get the goals you'd expect to see.
Well i'd offer an opinion but i'd get accused of disagreeing for the sake of it - because apparently, i cant just have a different viewpoint, if i disagree, it's me doing it deliberately just because i want to disagree

David Fairclough made a good point regarding our set pieces in recent years - said Gerrard tries to take every single one of them, and that's to the detriment of the team as he's not the best at them. Plus he'd be useful in the box himself, decent in the air.

I think if we'd managed to keep Aurelio fit more often he could well have provided some better service from freekicks but he's made of biscuits!

Off the top of my head I would say our defenders contribute the least amount of goals certainly compared to other top teams, maybe even the PL

Our set piece delivery is poor and has to be worked on first before anything else. Get that sorted then worry about getting people in the box.
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

Carroll should help on set pieces and Suarez is great on free kicks (unlucky with the posts and bars so far), but yes, clearing the first man on a corner would be nice once in a while.

I dont think our delivery is significantly worse than most other clubs, on average. We just seriously lack players who take up the right positions, make the right runs and attack the ball in the air.

There is a big difference in our threat from set-pieces when we have players who attack the ball in the team, Hyypia and Kyriakos notably, which does suggest that this is at least part of the problem.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We need to create more goal scoring opportunities from corners and we are doing poorly in that regard. Carroll will hopefully have a fair share in that but we also need one or 2 more in the box that are genuine threats.

Also we need better corner delivery as quite frankly we had been awful and gettign a set piece specialst would be great.

It's not really difficult to drill both at the same time

The two come together though, you deliver balls into the box differently if you have alot of players who attack the ball.
