Being linked to big clubs doesn't make a good player.

thing is your idea of what is or makes a good player leaves us with maybe 10 players on the planet!

He's a decent players has potential to improve, has age on his side and would be an improvement on our current centre backs.

He is 25 and the only centre back we have who he is an improvement on is Soto. There are plenty of younger or similar aged CB's that are a lot more accomplished.

I'm not being facetious, I think Cahill is would be a very expensive mistake.

better player than both Soto & Skrtel (played very well at the back end of the season) and Carra is now 33 and Agger is made of glass.

25 year old for a CB is still coming into his prime.

Fee wise he's probably over-priced but it seems the way of players than come from these shores.

He really isn't any better than Skrtel, Carra or Agger. All those 3 are far more accomplished centre backs.

Yes and he has done very little before being hugely praised this season despite some horror defending (FA cup semi is an example) that if Skrtel had committed he'd be attacked from all corners on here. He is 25 and shown pretty much nothing of note.

              we'll agree to disagree!

I think you completely miss my point about potential and playing in a different side with better quality around him (much the same as an Adam or a Young)

Regardless of our opinions if KK is in for or not and whether he wants to come will be the deciding factors

                Fair enough.

Though I am not always sure about the better quality around them, as they will also be under more pressure to perform and face teams who will play against in very different ways than they would have against Bolton, B'pool and Villa. It is the flip side to having better players around them.
