    It works for me.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

come now craig, there's no way you've left it like that with her seemingly having the upping hand in the argument. a woman out 'craiging' craig, some things are best left alone, it's like voodoo without black people.

I havent left it - i've continued to reply. Just havent posted them on here.

The latest exchange, re the perceived signing of Sanchez, which she believes cos it was in the S*n And how this allegedly proves my theory wrong...

              Her:

If you have simply been banging on incessantly about our lack of ££ for transfers, given our spend it would appear our debt 'issues' have not had much of an impact really. Being able to stump up £27m for a player after buying several others...clearly we can afford it & out lenders don't have issue with it either. Also we've usually been a frugal club when it comes to buying players - we will try & get good players for cheap rather than spend money on big names. So that's that argument done with.
              Me:

Who have you stumped £27m on Jade? Or does a story in the Scum mean the deal is done then?

              Frugal??? Good players for cheap???

              Berbatov £32m, Rooney £27m, Ferdinand £30m, Hargreaves £18m, Nani and Anderson £35m, Smalling £12m, Carrick £18m, Valencia £15m, Ljajic and Tosic £17m, Bebe £7m....

              Yeah, cheap and frugal....
              Me again:

If you only make a profit of £21m due to an £80m incoming transfer fee in 2009, make a loss of over £100m in 2010 and have debt servicing costs of circa £50m-£60m p/annum, where is the money for a massive spending spree coming from?

Just answer this Jade. Your club is making annual losses AND you have to pay to service the debt - so where are you going to magic up the money for a £60m transfer spending spree? Dont say 'our profits' because the latest available accounts show none, only losses.
              Her:

Just the mere fact that we are perceived to be able to stump up that much cash is a good reflection on our financial well being & our situation regardig the acquisition of players. And if we do sign him (think you'll find there was no report of a done deal) even better.
              Me:

Correct, there was no report of a deal being done - which is why i asked who you'd stumped up £27m for - you'd said "Being able to stump up £27m for a player after buying several othe" - which is something there is no evidence of at the moment, other than a tenuous story in a ****rag of a 'newspaper'.

Perception is one thing, cold hard cash is another. If you have any debts or a mortgage, go to the bank and tell them you intend to pay it off with 'perception' and see how that conversation goes. ;-)

That's what I was asking you. What is the point of life?

I was hoping to distract you from more important issues like convincing someone on the internet that their opinion is misguided and largely wrong to something trivial like sharing your views on we make our lives meaningful.

The point of life is to be educated by you. I love it.
