My main memory of him is having to listen to a (LFC) fan abuse him from the Paddock when he visited as Bolton coach. ****ing disgraceful. To his credit he said **** all back.

Yeah, he's done too much in the game with us, Bolton and England to disappear into the background here. With Clarke here his position wasn't really tenable and he must have ambitions for more elsewhere.
