With all the supposedly bad news in our alleged transfer targets lately, I take it all with a pinch of salt as this is Liverpool who never cease to amaze me!
I mean, how many of us knew about our interest in Henderson the week before he was signed?
The Liverpool Echo, who have reputed journalists & were ITK, have admitted they don't know what's happening!...I like it that as Kenny told us in numerous PCs...when we have news, we will let you know so regardless of what anyone is saying...take it with a pinch of salt & have a little faith in Kenny & his crew.
Someone said earlier, Let us be judged when the transfer window is shut! Pitch forks or job well done handshakes for Comolli will be of the essence then!

I'm banking on the latter here so have a little faith & ignore the news as some are taking it a little too serious here!

Well said mate. The Off-field Speculation sub-forum has certainly been living up to its name over the last couple of weeks. Its amazing how much moaning there is given that most of the transfer news is derived from twitter, tabloids and Sky gossip. They, just like us, don't have a ****ing clue.

It feels like when Houllier first took over. We were scrabbling about for kids and journeymen, looking at superstars in Europe and thinking that they would never join us, and we'd never go for them.

I've always thought it's going to take 2 summers of transfers for us to get where we want to - this summer try and clear some dead wood out (not easy it seems) and put in a foundation for now and the future and next summer bring in those couple of players that have that something special.

Long way to go in this transfer window and far too early to be worrying too much esp. as we're going off what the press and twitter ITK's about our targets!

Well we never did sign a big player. We were lucky with Henchoz that he bonded with Hyypia, who was the real coup. Hamman was hardly big fry. But they all worked. And Camara had a very good season. Smicer was a disappoinment though. I think we signed Westerveld too, who was also reasonably decent.

IF we have the same success as those signings I think we will be happy.

We dont nned superstars, just the right players for the tactics Kenny wants. In fact the superstar we bought is the one player I believe may struggle in the system (Carroll).
