The Liverpool Way is back !!

Here we are in July and the transfer rumours have dried up, it must be true that Kenny said that nothing was to be leaked.

It has all gone quiet, and while it is frustrating as a fan I totally support it once we get the required players for the positions required which are Left back, Left wing and Centre back.

Hopefully we can get rid of the deadwood aswell and get in the quality required to push on and challenge.

I think the first we are going to hear about some signings will be the announcement on the LFC Website and little or nothing before.

Glad to see the Liverpool Way is back. YNWA

It's very nice that everything is not hanged out public, especially the internal disagreements.

Tbh. I'm actually happy we are back at the stage where little is revealed before a transfer is close to completed, and hopefully it can stop the panicking over "lost" targets etc.

Or....... all the players we wanted have been sold and we have limited options left.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

Sorry, it's not the 1980's anymore. We now have the internet, social networking, mobiles phones, smart phones, skysports, media agencies trying to out do one another, interest on transfer bordering on voyeurism, too much money in the games etc, etc...

before the twitter explosion all we had was sky sports news, bbc transfer gossip and something on itv text.

now with the advent of twitter the head**** is a thousand times worse. To be honest most of the guys on twitter who claim to be privy to secret contract talks and the rest of the rubbish have been proven to be fake. According to that guy thommo weve signed charlie adam about 6 six times already since the beginning of June.

If there is something concrete ive no doubt the likes of tony barratt and rory smith will say something in twitter, followed by the official website but as for the rest of the ITKS - its a load of bollocks.

on a more funny note, i had a dream that somehow there was a malfunction on the official website and that i was able to download the unannounced squad list. On there was shaqiri, a new defender sakho and some striker called gisa ke or something.

Didnt see downing, adam or mata on there

How do we stop people at other clubs from talking about us being in for a player of theirs, if there's no gossip, then it probably means not much is happening.

As Brian Reade said. The Liverpool way is what made the club stand still for so long.

It won't work 2011, it worked 30 years or so ago but times have changed.

Now you must moan sometimes in the media to get a player, to unsettle him, not nice but that is what you have to do in some cases.

I think in general this stuff is massively over played. What normally turns players heads is the offer of truck loads of cash.

I'm not convinced that 'the Liverpool way' held us back in this way at all. Perhaps an over reliance on coaching methods and coaches from within the community of ex-LFC players did. Although I suspect that English football isolation during the European ban had as much to do with this as anything. It may have meant that we didn't progress the off field business as well as say Man U but I really doubt that any of our problems are traceable to a failure to whinge in tabloid papers.
