He's not anywhere near as good as Alves IMO. He is however a decent defender, barring the occasional one on one where he sells him self to a flick to easily, and much more composed on the ball than most fullbacks.

I think Glen is a great footballer, a quality attacking right back. He goes forward loads so is occasionally going to be caught out at the back. But at the beginning of last season I often thought he was our best option going forward.
