so dann is more of a JC than a DA. I think that DA is the playing style we need more of.

But there are almost no defenders of that style available and we are also weak in the air. I'd prioritise the defensive qualities on the centreback pairing above their ability to join in play - at least at this stage of our team development.

I do think one of the most interesting parts of pre-season will be seeing who makes up the central defensive partnerships. I suppose there is a chance that Wisdom or even Ayala (if Lecter is wrong about him being thought of as saleable) will be given a chance. It would be nice to see us trying to promote from within.

I think it would only be fair to at least give him a chance in pre-season, unless we got a good offer for him.
