I think the difference this season is that most clubs knew what Torres was all about..They had him heavily marked and he struggled..

This time around we have so many new additions and an unknown quantity..

We have so many different options for goalscorers now..

Hopefully a lot more goals from midfield next season..

At 1:47 on the clip the Arsenal player on the left is in the area before Dirk has kicked it. If he had have missed it should have been retaken. Boring trivia I know.... I should have been an accountant.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Ace post, proper cheered me up. Fingers crossed for this. Hopefully Stevie will stay fit too and be able to run onto the ball and put the long drives in so efficiently like he did a couple of seasons back.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I think that Caroll will be fantastic next year. I do worry about his first touch but I am hoping that was more to do with the fact he has never really been fit for us, i remember when Owen used to get injured all the time it took him a few games to get his touch back
I've rated him ever since I first saw him - he's got the lot. Could potentially become one of the greats if he works at it and is lucky with injuries etc. If he's fit he'll be good for us, my only worry is that we have to make sure we guard against lumping it up to him as the easy option, as we've already done in a couple of games.

This compilation of his goals for Newcastle in the Championship shows a great mix. I know the opposition is questionable, but it shows he's got more than just his size and head...

I predict a one in four goal return from Carroll, much frustration in the other 3 and us lauding him for one amazing performance every few months and continual reference to his awesome potential.

I don't see how he will go from nearly 1 in 2 which he had at newcastle ( granted 1 season in championship) although he had better than 1 in 2 at premiership level with newcastle to a 1 in 4 with us.

I think you greatly underestimate his ability at only 22 he is really started to show talent and a goalscoring touch over the last couple of seasons.....you think he will regress under Kennys management?

He'll also be getting better quality supply from our midfield so I believe that you are right in saying that his return for us will be better than it was at Newcastle.
