sorry, doni, but fabio seems like the kind of guy it's good to play football with occasionally, but not to hang around all the time.

Be interesting to see how he does in the next 3 games.

If he does well would anyone be tempted to keep him in nets for a while and does anyone think Kenny would have the balls?

                  Ooh good question.

I think Kenny has the balls to do it. Doni will be fine imo, but I do really hope that we have Johnson and Agger back for the semi-final so that we have a sort of familiar backline.

Who will be back-up keeper for the next few games? Has Brad Jones been back since his son's death?

No chance whatsoever that Pepe wont return to the first team after his suspension.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I do think Pepe hasn't been his usual excellent self this season, he's let a few in he'd be disappointed with and generally I can't remember many times he's pulled off saves that make you think "he had no right to get that".

Will be interesting to see how Doni does, but I can't see him displacing Reina for now. I am slightly worried however that Reina might be thinking of a move, in which case we really will need to see what Doni has in the locker.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.

If Doni did perform I would consider keeping him in to at least give Pepe something to think about. Pepe couldn't really have any complaints either considering the nature of the red card.

I don't think it will be a quiet game for him against Everton though, I think it will be a hero or zero performance and probably the latter sadly. Villa, Blackburn and Everton, not really the type of games you'd want for a keeper not used to the rough and tumble of the PL.

I honestly think he'll be fine.

He'll have a point to prove and won't have anything to lose as he'll be second choice throughout his stay with us anyway. I'm more worried about the four in front of him at the moment.

Liverpool are putting Brad Jones on standby for a first-team call as Kenny Dalglish faces up to a goalkeeping crisis.

The Australian was pulled out of the Anfield side’s reserve team on Monday night and will be in the frame to replace Pepe Reina during the Spaniard's three-game ban.

Brazilian Doni is expected to step up to face Aston Villa on Saturday after sitting on the bench in recent weeks, but he has never started a game for Liverpool.

Jones’ last taste of first-team action for Liverpool was against Northampton in a disastrous Carling Cup defeat during Roy Hodgson’s reign.

That rug really tied the room together.
