He hasn't even played any reserve games has he? I never understand why we never give our understudy goalkeepers regular reserve matches to keep them in touch, makes no sense to me

I do think Pepe hasn't been his usual excellent self this season, he's let a few in he'd be disappointed with and generally I can't remember many times he's pulled off saves that make you think "he had no right to get that".

Will be interesting to see how Doni does, but I can't see him displacing Reina for now. I am slightly worried however that Reina might be thinking of a move, in which case we really will need to see what Doni has in the locker.

Agree with this completely...Reina's distribution is excellent, but his command on crosses and the number of goals/shots we concede leads me to ask "is he as good as we think he is?" Is this just a bad season, or has his standards declined?

Doni played nearly 200 tomes for Roma and has 10 caps for Brazil, he's got to be way better than Jones. Its not like he is spme untested rookie.

I'm interested to see how he fares, I reckon he'll do fine.

I don’t want this to sound a bit crass, but I was wondering about it at the time, but by chance is the only reason Jones is still here is because of the difficulties he was going through at home with his child?

We bought a 2nd keeper in Doni and prefer to test kids at reserve level so the only logic I can see is that the club didn’t want to make things worse for him by releasing him.

I don't think that sounds crass at all, a lot of fans probably think the same.

He needs to go in the summer as he's nowhere near good enough for us and should never have been signed. Not his fault, and it'd have been harsh to release him given the year that he's had.
