That said he is a good goalkeeper and if Reina doesn't return to the form Doni could actually take his job eventually.

He looks like a liability or he is one? If you judged players on looks, I would say Brad Jones look like a world class goalkeeper with his greased up hair style. But he is not - he is awful. People were calling for him to replace Reina . It gets worse every time I see Everton's first goal, he was completely at fault. And the referee saved him on another occasion when he wrongly gave us a free kick after he dropped a cross.

Donnie looked like a very good keeper in the few games he played for us and going off his track record, it's pretty obvious that he would be first choice for most teams.

I always used to think Doni was a decent Keeper at Roma. I was surprised when we signed him in fact. Think he could do a decent job at a smaller Prem team.

We still need a decent back-up or competition for Pepe. I have always liked Al-Habsi. Or possibly Vorm?

some excellent keepers around at moment, definitely not in short supply. Vorm & Al-Habsi as you mentioned are very good. If Pepe if left LFC Vorm or Tim Krull for me would be excellent replacements.

Would put Al-Habsi and Krul on about the same level......definitely think Vorm is the better of whats out there in the PL at the moment.
Only signed a new contract recently as well I think.......good business considering talk of Arsenal, Rodger's taking over here etc

Liverpool outcast Alexander Doni has revealed that the truth will surface in the next few days over his situation at the club.

In an interview with Brazilian publication Globoesporte, the goalkeeper rubbished reports of injury setbacks and says the real reason is yet to be revealed.

Talking about reports in the press, Doni said: "They talk a lot. First, I was unhappy in the reserves, then it was an ankle injury, and I have to say every hour they invent a new story.

"I cannot speak the truth about what's happening with me and Liverpool. We have a problem. I'm resolving the issue."

With a contract until June 2013, the goalkeeper does not know if he will remain in English football as the current situation drags on.

"I'm expecting a call from my solicitor. I've returned to Miami now, where I was sorting out other business. I cannot say more than that."

Sounds like a lawsuit to me. A transfer wouldn't really involve his solicitor.
