What I don't understand from that rumour, did he take the test risking a hart attack without the club being aware of any problems or was the test taken because of known problems?

I think they all get tested these days don't they? Reading between the lines it sounds like they did a routine test to stress the heart through exercise and monitor the results and he had a cardiac arrest during the test.

This is ****ing crazy. At least he's alright - and what a time and place to suffer a cardiac arrest.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Anyway, the legal stuff sounds like it was just money and contracts rather than LFC causing a health problem or something, so it's pretty trivial in the scheme of things. As Shaggy said, at least he's alright and hopefully will continue to be.

@thisisanfield: Italian media report that Alexander Doni has in fact retired and he had a heart problem, suffering a cardiac arrest last year.

                  Bender time.

Why was it kept quiet then? Bizarre.

There is such a thing as confidentiality about someone's health so maybe it's that.

Would you want it spread all over the internet that you've got mange?
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Maybe he didn't want a private medical condition transmitted to everyone in the world?

I can see why Doni is pissed - but once the initial anger has died down, I'm sure he'll look back and think it was for the best.

No. But now it's in the open, so don't know what's changed?

It's a catch-22 really - while I agree that medical conditions should be kept between "employer" and "employee" (to be cold and clinical about it) I think Liverpool have a responsibility not only to the wider football world but to Doni himself. If it's true - he's in no fit state to be playing football and, as stated above, I'm sure he'll come to see that this has been done with his best interests at heart... no pun intended.

Sorry Nige, I didn't mean to reveal your mange problem.
