What if you are prone muscle injuries? Or are recovering from one? There are plenty of reasons. Another one being if the player is a vegetarian for example.Originally posted by el matador View Postit would seem odd to me that a highly tuned athlete would need to take creatine to add muscle bulk when they train so hard in the first place.
Their bodies are already engineered by training regimes. That's what worries me, that players who's muscles are already operating at max levels would want to mess around with body chemistry like that.
its uses in body building in an extreme way but they are gross exaggerations of the body.
To me it seems wierd.
Eating can mess around with your body chemistry, so can taking vitamins which btw can kill in a dose that would be harmless in creatine. Ld50 of vitamin a is lower than that of creatine for example.

that's not what I said at all re doni. You should read the post properly.Originally posted by saj View PostHow do you know clubs don't use it? Is that another unsubstantiated theory of yours?
Years of research have proved Creatine is not bad for you. I will repeat - YOUR BODY PRODUCES CREATINE. If you eat meat YOU ARE CONSUMING CREATINE. How can you just sit at home and think of theories like this? People have heart conditions, it's a fact. It's almost like you are saying sports people are immune from heart problems unless they have taken some sort of supplement[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

if you use it saj that's fine but what you're trying to do is to justify the use of a banned substance.Originally posted by saj View Post

I think it's banned in 2 sports in totalCreatine use is not considered doping and is not banned by the majority of sport-governing bodies. However, in the United States, the NCAA recently ruled that colleges could not provide creatine supplements to their players, though the players are still allowed to obtain and use creatine independently

El Matador: this goes against your theory that many footballers, athletes etc don't take it:
Please read the bit in bold over and over again.Fitness supplements
There is also much controversy surrounding a new generation of fitness supplements that are widely used by athletes as a legal alternative to anabolic steroids.
These include creatine, a substance found naturally in the body and in foods such as meat and fish.
Creatine is sold legally over the counter in synthetic form as an amino acid powder. It helps build muscle and speeds recovery from training. My kebab comes with chilli sauce

So how would you like to counter the actual science I presented you?Originally posted by el matador View PostSaj when your dick shrinks blame yourself.

Huh, this is getting beyond rationale now. You clearly are mixing up creatine with some other substance. Creatine does not shrink your dick. I no longer take it although I want to start againOriginally posted by el matador View PostSaj when your dick shrinks blame yourself.
