I think the pain of the latter years of severe underachievment and being sacked is probably punishment enough for a man that never had anything less than best intentions for the club. If he'd have been sacked a year earlier he may have been remembered more fondly, alas that wasn't the case and some people are bound to be bitter. If and when we win our group it could be Barcelona, Inter Milan, Roma, Real Madrid, Celtic, or Lille. I think I'd like Lille, Celtic, Roma, or Madrid in that order. Inter and Barcelona need to be avoided if at all possible.

I saw an interviewwith Ged last year, when asked what was his biggest mistake at Liverpool, he replied that he possibly returned from illness a few monrths too early

GH didi a lot for the club when it came to profesialism (is that a word?).
While Slur took Scum to another level in that department Evans was to nice to his players and GH changed that. What Rafa has brought, A long with superior tactical knowledge, is the winning mentality that GH lost after his illness.
