      And another genuine game-changing/matchwinner type.

Chances are, on the first day of the season, we wont have any in our lineup. How we thought we could succeed with just two in our squad, is anyone's guess

Some very strong words from JWH.
Indeed so, I think its a definate message to Kenny that its a must rather than it would be nice If we do sinario

Surely JWH must realise that its going to be even tougher than ever this year to get into the top four as Utd, City, Chelski etc, have/will all spend big this year to at least qualify for it

If we are to qualify for CL, JWH is going to have deeper pockets and deleiver a couple of top quality players ie, CB, LB and back up Striker IMO.

JWH has indeed been true to his word from the start off and hopefully will carry on doing so

Tell me how WBA, Everton, Sunderland, Villa & Fulham won 60 games in the premier league between them last season? They didn't have a world class 'game changer' amongst them. FWIW I think Miereles and Maxi both have the ability to create chances, as does Johnson. It's not all about the lone ranger approach.

Let's have a charity wager for the season opener. I think we're going to win it, you obv think we wont. A £10 to the HJC?

WBA, Everton, Sunderland, Villa and Fulham also wont finish in the top four this season.

Are we adjusting our standards now, to compete with no-mark clubs like that?

Does anyone else get the feeling that they're trying a little too hard to get on the good side of the fans?

No, I think they're pretty genuine.

Not really, they've generally backed up their 'bravado' (if you want to call it that) with actions.

I dont think John Henry especially NEEDS 'good PR' to get onside with fans, he's done that by generally keeping his promises.

Who would you class as the 'game-changing/matchwinner' players for last seasons top 4?

Sigh...i'm sure we've done this before, but...

Arsenal: RvP, Fabregas, Nasri (if Walcott or Arshavin could get some consistency, they could be in the same category, but they're far too hot & cold)

Chelsea: Lampard, Drogba, Malouda (arguably Anelka, but not consistent enough)

City: Tevez, Balotelli, Silva, Adam Johnson if he played regularly

United: Rooney, Nani, Berbatov, Hernandez, Valencia could've been if he had been fit all season

This is the bit where you disagree with my selections and then name several LFC players as being as good, or better than those above.

And it'll go round and round in circles

Easiest thing would be to just accept that we might have a difference of opinion and agree to disagree.

It would certainly be a first for you.

Honestly just interested. I know you like to transpose your own lack of caring about others opinions on others but there we go.

Always aggressive and on the offensive. And from a mod too.

As for your last line, you're mistaken there, but that's not a first for you.

It was simply more about the fact that i cant be bothered to argue with you over it. You think what you think, i think what i think, we may disagree and we'll both be fine with that.

No, course not fella. I was just trying to work out why you thought we couldn't beat Sunderland at our place when we clearly can - with or without a world class game changer.

Where did i say i think that?

                                Of course we can.

My comment on 'how we could think we can succeed' was meant in general terms across the season, rather than about the Sunderland game.
