Thanjk you.

Hand on heart with every week that passes and I reflect at our squad I have to say it is looking more and more unlikely. I truly hope I am proven wrong but I have to say I feel a sense of genuine disappointment at our activity this summer, especially when considering how well JWH backed us with funds.
I get the same feeling, especially when we haven't addressed CB and LB. Hopefully these will emerge over the next couple of weeks.
Mabe JWH along with Kenny & co have a couple of quality signings lined up that their keeping quiet for now?
I've got a sneaky feeling that this must be true as well!
When you consider that Reina, Johnson etc have committed to the club on the basis that we are going to have "a big summer" and we are "going places, and similar quotes, I find it hard that particularly Reina would do that on the basis of us purchasing Henderson, Adam and Downing...

Anyone agree?
No.
I think we will sign a LB, and possibly a CB (dependent on sales), but secret big name signings are a pipe dream now IMO.
I agree, but Pepe did say in an interview the other day that the club has shown its ambition in the transfer market this summer. Couldn't tell if he was taking the pee though.

In fairness we have spent quite a bit of money so far:
That's £43m and presumably we're still after a left back and a centre back, that figure will probably be around £60m if we sign both, and would represent 4 or 5 players who would probably be considered first choice. I think that would be a big summer however you look at it.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Although it's not how much we spend, it's who we bring in which counts. Would like to see some quality improvements in defence, not Scott Dann.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

But whether you judge it on spend or on number of first team players being brought in it will have been a big summer.

Well Judging it On Spend...I'd say Biggish Summer, when weighed against other major football clubs who've had 'Big summer' spends.(especially after a change of ownership)
But for LFC i'd say it's been a big summer spending wise, going on our recent exploits and lack of cash.
Judged On signings, i'll go medium summer, no big names, mostly if not all workman like signings, no real flair players brought in, no really 'in demand' players brought in.
