I really want Henderson to do well but I just fear he will struggle to find form playing in multiple positions

I have to say with Henderson I've no idea so far where he should play for us - it's perhaps going to take a while to work out what his best position is for us in the team.

Obviously we have time for this due to his age and others in the squad that would play in potential positions.

Frightening how much money it takes to even compete when you look at the money being spent - you'd never know Europe was a in a financial hole if you based it on football transfers & wages!

i can see henderson playing maybe 15 games this year in the prem at both right and centre mid and im cool with that.

he is a young lad who i think we will eventually mould into a centre mid to take over long term from stevie. but playing in more than one position is essential these days given the different formations that get used every game.

carra played alll over the back four for years and it did him no harm. gerard also played centre and right under rafa when he was still trying to find his ideal place in the team. smalling played right back for manure today and it will do him the world of good.

i have no worries over jordan henderson in our future.

Henderson will be a class act for sure, not sure he is ready to play centre mid constantly but last season against the top teams he had great games.

I think we will find him battling with Kuyt for the right mid spot, he will offer better delivery and work rate from there, but then he doesnt have Kuyt's goal scoring instinct, In those games we are struggling to break down teams and Kuyt looks so ineffective I expect Henderson would be a better alternative.

I can also see him replacing Lucas in the last 30mins if we have to go for the win and need someone to push up more.

Were not far off that amount NET since January anyway. Everyone in the media keeps going on about this £100m crap, forgetting to mention nearly £60 from sales! Even whiskey nose had a go at Liverpool last summer saying that Rafa spent more than him while leaving out the FACT() of sales. In reality, since Jan, we spent ~£40 and got 6 players.

But I'm sure we'll spend more before the transfer ends and we've still spent a lot more money than we ever have so I don't think we can complain.
