Probably should have gone in the Off-field section. Sorry mods.

I rate him so I'm a little bit disappointed to see him go. Hope he does well for himself and gets back into the Prem or maybe La Liga.

Me too, but I guess the powers that be se more promise in Kelly, Wilson and/or Wisdom.

Thought he looked pretty good but being sold to a **** team in the league below says more about his ability than my opinion!

            Haha, quite

I'm surprised no bigger/better clubs have come in for him. Shows what we know.

I don't really, he was slow as ****, turned like a battleship, and looked way out of his depth in most of his games for us. He has good qualities, but he was never going to make it at this level IMO.

Blimey I totally disagree with that, I thought he did well for the most part. Strong for his age, very good in the air, reads the game pretty well.

                Ah well. Hull.

Good in the air, granted. Read the game well, maybe. Slower that Carra and the Greek, definitely

Same here, thought he was excellent at Burnley when he started and had a good cameo v Chelsea allbeit the game was over when he come on, seems to have good reviews from his loan teams aswell, wouldnt be surprised to see him back in this league at some point.

The lad is better than Wilson, thats for sure. No room for sentiment, in all honesty never looked like he was ever going to make it here (same for Wilson) and is time we started to trim the squad. At least it is not a loan!!

I don't agree about him being better than Wilson. Wilson's had little chance to impress in his natural position, he's not as versatile as Kelly who can play RB and CB. The majority of Wilson's games have been at left back to be fair and he did a fine job for one season as Rangers CB, played in the champions league and was very highly rated. He may not make it at Liverpool but I reckon he is definitely better than Ayala.

1st option to buy back and a sell on clause is key for me.
The problem we have is our young centre backs are just kids.

In an ideal world we'd give Ayala a 5 year contract and send him out on loan for at least 2 maybe 3 of those years so by the time he's 23/24 he's played around 150 league games so could come in to the team experienced and ready to play rather than learning on the job like Insua a year or so ago.

If in 3 years time he isn't going to make it then his value is much higher.
I guess he is one of the expendable ones with some value, we can only sell the players that other sides want to buy from us, not who we want gone.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
