Same here.Originally posted by The Birdman View Post1st option to buy back and a sell on clause is key for me.The problem we have is our young centre backs are just kids.
In an ideal world we'd give Ayala a 5 year contract and send him out on loan for at least 2 maybe 3 of those years so by the time he's 23/24 he's played around 150 league games so could come in to the team experienced and ready to play rather than learning on the job like Insua a year or so ago.
If in 3 years time he isn't going to make it then his value is much higher.
I guess he is one of the expendable ones with some value, we can only sell the players that other sides want to buy from us, not who we want gone.
He needs to play regular football and hopefully he'll be a starter at Hull.
If he turns to be better than we expected we should be in the position to exercise the right to buy him back.
I wish him the best of luck either way.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

I would hope we put these types of arrangements into the sales of all our young players.Originally posted by The Birdman View Post1st option to buy back and a sell on clause is key for me.

Swans want to scupper Hull's deal for Ayala.
Swansea City are hoping to scupper Hull City's plans of signing Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala, BBC Wales Sport understands.
Liverpool accepted Hull's bid for Ayala on Saturday, paving the way for the 20-year-old to discuss personal terms with the Championship club.
But Swansea are planning their own bid for the Spaniard, who has made five appearances for Liverpool.
Ayala impressed during a 12-game loan spell at Hull last season.
He ended the season on loan at Derby County, and played in the 2-1 home win over Swansea in March.
Liverpool signed Ayala from Seville in 2007 but the Spain Under-21 international has failed to establish himself in the first team at Anfield.
Swansea are keen to increase their defensive options as they prepare for their debut season in the Premier League.
The Swans have already signed Stephen Caulker on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur, but doubts over Garry Monk's fitness have prompted manager Brendan Rodgers to seek another centre-back.

We'd get a clearer picture of where he's at if he's played in the PL as compared to the Championship. Sink or swim time

I'm not sure it is the best way though - a lot of times teams would rather build their own defence with players they own. Loan players have to excel instantly and are often used as backup and not allowed the chance to play through mistakes which might be necessary parts of adapting to top flight play.
I suspect that Ayala is a couple of seasons experience away from being ready to be judged in terms of our first team. My opinion would be that the best way for that to happen would be to sell him with first option/agreed buyback and sell on fees as part of the deal. It gives him the best chance to develop and allows us to benefit from someone else shining our diamond with very little risk.
I guess where he is in his contact and the terms thereof might be considerations to. Although we could only speculate what they are and how they might change the clubs thinking."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I think we should be doing this type of thing with most of our youngsters. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
