Personally, i cannot control emotions to such an extent that results like today dont piss me off, and within the context of what forums are generally about, i'm obviously now expressing my views on it. Like you, i genuinely wish i didnt feel pissed off about it, but i do as we all do, without doubt. How we react to it is obviously different for different people. Whilst i'm pissed off, i wont be reaching for the kitchen knife and i wont be up crying about it all night

Having only just got back about an hour ago, i'm still in the 'release what's pent up inside' mode
thats been going on for years now

Today though, once Suarez went off, we were pretty limp, very predictable, one-dimensional and easy to defend against. If the fatigue issue played any significant part, then hopefully that'll address itself before too long.

Much of it can address itself in fact, such as Downing and Adam stepping upto the plate in due course, which i hope they can do. That said, it's still 2 dropped points which are no less valuable because they were dropped in the first game, than they would be around Easter time.
I thought Downing was good today especially coming from the right and Adam had pretty decent game overall.

I'm more concerned with Carroll and us forcing balls his way time and time again in a predictable fashion.

I think we were too selfless today and would like to see Downing and Suarez and Kuyt try to score on their own to mix things up.

Every point is important, every point count. I see it as two points dropped because the players wasn't ready to play a full PL game. Not because of tactics etc as I said.

I can't see them being that more match fit against Arsenal. They probably need four or five games before they are match fit.

They should be match fit from game one and not from game five or six.
but there is still a chance they can both get the players out the door and finish 4th. considering if we want to make more signings it's a requisite, and the real aim is to make a tilt in the next two years, we do have a bit of time. it's always going to be a difficult year this season, but we have good management, good coaches and good players. as long as there is any kind of progress, and we have another year to bring in additional revenue streams beyond the champions league, ok, maybe the fist xi isn't as fixed as it could be, but they are concentrating on more than one thing. we are not.

i think that will happen as they get used to each other, and as the coaching gets its point across.

There is, but if we play the percentages, getting the first teamers all fit and sharp is going to increase that chance.

Having seen the highlights on tv, Carroll's goal could have easily stood.

I did say he looked rusty to me and Kenny played him too early but he didn't have a good game.

In terms of second paragraph he's DM at it's his job to help back 4 and today he didn't do as good of a job as he normally does.

Quite a few times he was caught out and Adam (there is your midfield) had to intervene as he was one step too slow and behind (remember Seb free kick)

Worst game the lad has played in long time. His usual engine was non existent & his passing was way off, he just looked bolloxed if i'm honest.

Looks like Dalglish and Clarke messed up there, eh?

I think the only thing that today's game showed us for absolute certain, is there is a tremendous amount of absolute cockends that post on this site
