        Kuyt is one of the best penalty takers I've seen. Definitely the best in the team, and that includes Gerrard. From memory (and it's not the best) he doesn't favour any side and even if the keeper guesses correctly he slams in such a way that would leave it damn near impossible to save anyway.

        As he wasn't on the pitch on Saturday I was surprised that Adam didn't take it.

        Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

          Le Tissier and Shearer were my two favourite pelanty takers.

          Dirk and Adam should take them for our team though.

              Dirk scored a lovely pen in 2007 at the Annie rd end against chelski one year to get us into the CL final

                Well said mate.

                It's good we have a few options to take them, Adam def should have taken the pen on sat. You would think Gerrard would take them when he plays being el capitan but I'd prefer to see Dirk or Adam take them, all of them have pretty decent records and can't really go wrong with any of these 3.

                  Gerrard isn't great at pens or corners and his free kicks have gone off the boil too. In a fully fit 1st team he'd not be taking any set pieces if I was manager.

                    Dirk everytime for me.

                    Gerrard used to take a **** penalty, although he's a lot better now. I'd go with

                    1) Dirk
                    2) Adam
                    3) Gerrard
                    4) Agger
