DIRK KUYT senses the worst is behind Liverpool, after claiming the club has emerged stronger from a traumatic start to the season.
With four defeats and the resignation of former chairman Noel White, it's been an unexpectedly distressing opening to the campaign for the club.
But as Rafa Benitez's side aim for their fourth straight win this weekend, Kuyt is determined to prove the side can maintain its move upwards in the months to come.
"We have scored ten goals in three games, and now we're starting to show our quality," said Kuyt.
"We have a very good team and have showed this over the last few matches. Now we have to go on from here and win the next few games.
"It's important not only to show we are good in the Champions League, but also the Premiership.
"We know we have to win more games . After we lost to Manchester United everyone was down and we knew it was important to recover quickly.
"It's meant a lot to have won the three games since, but we also know that's only three games and we need to do more.
Liverpool welcome Reading to Anfield on Saturday and Rafa Benitez will be assessing the fitness of Craig Bellamy and Mark Gonzalez.
Despite so much recent criticism of his side, Benitez is in the midst of an impressive run of home form.
Liverpool are unbeaten in 21 matches at Anfield in the Premiership.
Chelsea are the last visiting team to win there in the league, or even score more than one goal.
That was 13 months ago. During that period Liverpool have won 18 Premiership home games, and drawn three while conceding just seven goals. They have kept 14 clean sheets.
"We know a difficult start happened, but we've shown in the last three game we have the quality.
"We had enough chances to score even more on Tuesday, but it was also very important for us to have kept a clean sheet."
