    Downing is good, I like him. He only really has the one trick to beat players, but its stood him in good stead, so why try anything different. Bit like me with my take on the Cruyff turn.

        Mate, I spent years saying that if he wasn't left footed he'd be playing for Hartlepool. Every time we were linked with him my response was a mixture of horror and bemusement.

        Now, after a few games, I really rate him. Think he's a superb addition. Just goes to show really. Maybe more faith is required a times
