Yea but the cost of expanding the stadium to fit in 75,000 seats would cost more than what it would generate I guess.

Not if you locals get off your arses and leave the computers for a wee while and support the team
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Doesn't the real extra £ value come from enhanced corporate facilities.

60,000 seats and a few hundred more boxes, no?

From what info I know, we have a tad over 1,000 corporate seats now.

We are planning to increase that to 9,000+ in the new stadium which will significantly boost our revenues. Anything over 9k won't sell/fill in.

I had spent the previous day in Munich studying the Allianz Arena -- a truly magnificent accomplishment by Bayern Munich.
Very interesting to know and I cannot say that I'm surprised.

Only way to make up quickly and efficiently some of the cost of building a new stadium is to look for every possible avenue of generating additional revenue stream and I love the fact that he wants to possibly implement Bayern's stadium business model.

He's smart to know that we shouldn't rely specifically on the ticket sales on a match day but also be looking for the lucrative revenue stream 7 days a week by drawing profits from other business opportunities (restaurants, boutiques, fans stores, fan game zones etc) within the football complex.

It's all about being business smart and savy and I have no doubts he'll get it right. He did that with The Red Sox and I'm sure he'll do it with us too.

It's a darn site closer than Queensland Australia

Whether they spend 300 mil or 150 mil of their own money it's going to take a long time to recoup it on the extra 15000 seats whereas we could recoup any outlay quicker if it was an extra 30000 seats.

I read it as he's saying it'll have to be a new stadium as Anfield isn't viable thanks to legal wrangling.

I think we'll looking for a very big partner to share the upfront costs of the project.

I heard the price goes up exponentially for anything above 60,000 seats, making it less profitable in the medium term, not more. Although each year building costs go up. Even in a recession after a property bubble, costs are still ridiculous. Need to start it soon, or it will probably never happen in Anfield, or will have to be shared.

Loved the following comment left on the Telegraph website under the article:

As an Evertonian all I can say is I'm jealous. Liverpool have captured an extremely intelligent and forward thinking man.
He is not treating Liverpool Football Club as a toy, he has a proven track record, and I believe will win the Premiership within 5 years.
The only real problem he faces is Kenny's age and health. When he has found and trained his replacement then god help the rest of us.

                            God that hurt to say....

I think he really wants a groundshare. I hope and pray I am wrong but I sense it is what he thinks is the most practical solution.
