As was I it seems since I didn't vote.

I think I was disappointed that there was no Andy Carroll option

Give me two years, and I'll probably/hopefully change my mind.

I associate Torres with a winning team, fighting on several fronts and scoring goals galore. He made me feel like a youff falling in love with the game all over again and I guess, the way Torres left made me question that love as well as making it difficult to accept the 'next guy'. So when I think of Torres, I think of a variety of goals - none similar - during a spell that made me think we could win the league, so by default, he's always thought of during pleasant times.

Then Suarez arrived. I don't think he's immediately likeable and you can't help looking back at his historic incidents as brain ninjas - little snippets that are forgotten about, until something happens and it all comes flooding back. But then you start to experience his clear passion for the game, his desire to win and his tremendous ability with a football. I mean, the lad could turn on the proverbial sixpence. He creates his own opportunities and has carried our side for the first half of the season.

Yes, he's a nutter. But he's *our* nutter and I think I've talked myself into making my mind up.

          Suarez.
If for the reasons you state i find it hard to pick suarez over torres.
But it's unbelievable we've someone who we can be in awe of like we were with torres of that time.

But, and i know it never happened, i can't help thinking what the 2 of them together would have been like. oh my god it could have been so good. had potential to be the best prem league strike partnership ever.

And when i'm having thoughts about the 2, the idea of them playing together is impossible to get out of my head

Torres in a Benitez team, Suarez in a Rodgers team.

That said on current form/age there really is no contest

I'd have loved to see Luis in Rafa's side when we finished 2nd

I would have loved to see Luis and Torres playing together and I don't care under which management.

Aye. I've thought about that. I know it doesn't really work ...cos he'd have been, what...about 22 in the title-challenging season. But still. Just imagine. We'd have pissed the league. Scary.

Frighteningly good I think, less structured as a side with him in it under Rafa but my god we'd have amazing, no doubt we'd have won the league.

Flip side we may still have H&G as owners though

Rafa and Luis would have had a love hate relationship IMO. Luis would have gone nuts with his rotation, and he would have rotated him for sure. But what an incredible sight it would have been to see him and Fernando tearing the league up.

See I think footballers want to win things, if he'd have won things here under Rafa and been swapped out now and again he'd have dealt with it.
