Dirk will have just played two international games so maybe Kenny might play the big man. Johnson is fit again so he goes straight back in.

    ------------Carroll
    -------------Suarez
    Downing--------------Henderson
    ---------Adam--Lucas
    Enrique---Agger-Carra---Johnson
    -------------Reina

    Subs:

    Kuyt
    Bellamy
    Maxi
    Spearing
    Skrtel
    Robinson
    Doni

    Strong bench.
Agree with this too. Carroll will be important at defending set pieces. That being said Bellamy, Dirk and Suarez would put unreal pressure on their defence from up top.

How long is Kelly out for? We could do with him in this game.

Agree but Carroll would be very handy defending their set pieces. I know you don't pick a centre-forward with defending in mind but still, it's true.

He's back in full training next week. There's talk of him being back for Spurs on Sept 18th. He has no chance for this game.

Agreed. With Meireles gone, that spot's his to lose.

Said he's back in full training late next week. So I'd guess it will be a week or so from then. Maybe Brighton away ?

Same here. I'd love to see Bellamy in a starting lineup.

I've been thinking, Kenny played Stoke last season with three at the back, any chance it would happen here?

I can't believe everyone's forgotten about the Young Player of the Tourament from the Copa America! He probably won't start but nobody's even put him on the bench...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Apart from the domestic cups, I don't think we'll see much of Coates this season.
