As a result I'm find myself sitting all over the ground. I have noticed an attitude amongst many(not all) season ticket holders, were because they go every week it's almost like they can't be arsed.

In other words get the Locals/ST holders/regulars etc in order first before having a go at the daytrippers. In my experience, when the away fans are chanting "Your support is ****ing ****" the daytrippers with not much experience look to the "hardcore" for help who in turn just sit there not arsed

that my friend is an excellent post.

Why pay all that money if its not the centre of your attention. At least the photographers are focussed on the game and wanting to capture what they're enthralled by.

Like I say, I admire your tolerance, but I don't get why someone would want to pay so much money to see the football and then have the football so incidental to the afternoon.

It also affects my own enjoyment of the football to have such a mundane narrative going on.

I have far too much of a Victor Meldrew streak to be as tolerant as you. Maybe thats my failing, but even if I tolerated it better, I'd still wonder why anyone would pay so much to have the football as just "on" in the background.

And I'd still think the ticket would have been better in the hands of someone who was more arsed about the match taking place in front of them.
i agree with you on this theres nothing worse than someone yapping for the entire match,in my mind they couldnt give a ****, had 2 eejits chatting beside me for the entire game a couple of yrs back, they didnt shut up for the entire game talking about tactics and pointing things out.what made it worse was they knew **** all and we were losing, bout the 80th minute or so we let in another one and i threw out more ****s in a sentence than really should be allowed and told them that they could shut the **** up while they were at it,wasnt a peep out of them after thta

put it another way if u were at home watchin de telly n 2 ****ers came in chattin throughout it without havin any interest in it youd tell them to **** off out of it as well.

Ronan, are you seriously suggesting that two people who have bought their tickets, arent entitled to talk to each other about tactics and the game?

Whether or not you agree with their views, they're still allowed to sit and talk to one another. It's annoying for you, but it's their right.

for them the match is just something going on in the background, nothing more

Perhaps it is, and it's annoying. I also agree that the ticket would be better given to someone who'd appreciate it more.

However, i dont agree that it's your place to tell two fans who have forked out for their tickets, that they're not allowed to discuss tactics together. You disagree that it's their right to speak to one another???

They were within their rights, and broke no rules. Dont see how a foul-mouthed tirade is warranted.

well i guess we'll agree to disagree djs
ok fair enough i may have been a bit out of order for directing my anger at them but i didnt think so at the time and still dont.
whats the point in going to a game if your not going to watch it?
like i said, for them it was more of something going on in the background
yes its their money tickets etc but theyre like the ones you meet in a pub if the reds are playing where the converstaion goes something like this...
                    them. hey whos playing
                    me liverpool
                    them. cool, who we playing?
                    me (insert team)
them. great and then proceed with back to screen to talk to their mates, turning around only when theres a loud cheer.

will get off my wee high horse now.

I totally agree with this initiative. There is no other club in the world with this special bond between players and supporters, no other club with triumphes and tragedies so close together. This is what makes Liverpool FC so special. And the Kop is the heart of our great club.

Especially in prospect of the planned move to a new stadium at Stanley Park within the next years, it is crucial to stop now the development from the recent past. How can we save the perhaps most important part of our history and transmit it to a new stadium, if we cannot even manage to remain it on the holy ground of Anfield? In the year of the 100th anniversary of the world’s most famous stand, it seems it has lost its inimitable atmosphere from the past.
Only one and a half year ago Kopites created one of the best atmospheres ever and brought back the spirit of Milan and St Etienne to Anfield. But it is not acceptable that the spirit of the old mighty kop lives only on big European nights. Every Liverpool player deserves the noise, passion and support from the Kop in every match.

Liverpool FC was founded for the people of Liverpool. Shanks led our club not only to glory, he also built the values and ethic which lives still today in our club. Shanks foundations, the humour and the passion of the Liverpudlians made the Kop to the most famous football terrace in the world. It is our responsibility to keep this alive and leave it to the next generation. We owe that to Shanks, Sir Bob and so many others, not to forget to the 96 souls of our family, who all watch from above…

As a foreigner I’m proud to be a part of this great community. Every time I visit Liverpool I enjoy the hospitality of the people. Despite of my long love for the Reds I know that I’m a guest there. And all guests should respect the traditions and values of their hosts. Unfortunately there are too many tourists, glory hunters or whatever who are ignorant about this.

I’m a little bit worried that some people will start again with the annoying Scouser vs. OOT debate. Nevertheless all well Reds all over the world should support this initiative.

April 15th 1989 is a day that all football fans should never forget. It was a day when 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives at a football match at Hillsborough.
