For two, I want to watch the game through my own eyes, not through the lense of the cameraphone that some dope is holding up in front of my eyes while he takes his photo.

No problem with photos at all. Just not when the match is on.

Ideal solution. Get there at 2.20 when the players are warming up. Take them then. You can often get dead close to them anyhow.
You're trying to persuade us that a camera flash distracts the players?? Are you having a laugh?

The same players that have abuse thrown at them about their mum, their wife, their kids, but it's the taking of photos that annoys the players?

    Hmm.

It annoys me more when they come back 5 minutes late into the second half, love it when we score an early goal.

As well as that, shouldn't even need a camera flash in the stadium anyway.

What about people leaving their seats five minutes before half-time to buy something to eat, etc? What about this, what about that?

By all means let's talk about it, exchange points of view, encourage people to behave in ways we like but I do think we all need to be prepared to accept we're all different, we all go for different reasons, we all get different things out of it.

          Live and let live.
Lots of those things annoy me yes. But frankly, I'd accept that some things irritate in life and can tolerate it.

So lets talk about dealbreakers, and for me it comes down to leaving the outside world where it belongs - outside the ground.

Surely we can all agree to do just that? Surely nobody should be at the ground treating the match as a visual backdrop to their office escapades or on a lengthy conversation on their mobile phone about something else.

If I can get that at least then great.

I can understand why someone may bugger off with 2 minutes to go even if I never do and it gets on me nerves a bit. I can understand why someone may want to take a pic (although I think the success of the team should be the primary focus of any fan and you should keep the phone in your pocket if its a pen or a corner).

What I can't understand is what anyone gets out of the match if they spend the whole first half discussing stock orders and office politics and all that crap. Yes we all get different things out of it. But what can ANYONE get out of the mundane unrelated conversation while the match is on??

So if you were taking a pen would it be more helpful to have camera flashes fired at you from behind the goal or not?

Again; I'd probably find the 1000s of people screaming blue ,urder at me more distracting than a camera.

With respect Charlie, thats not what I asked.

Would you prefer to take your penalty with the screaming blue murder (though not that loud actually if you were taking it at the Kop end) AND the flashes fired at you, or just the (not very loud) screaming blue murder?

Fer **** sake, I'd be petrified sitting behind, beside or for that matter on the same side of the ground for fear of upsetting you at a match

If the camera flash bothers the highly over-paid, egotistical ******, then he shouldn't REALLY be taking penalties for the greatest club on the planet, then should he?

I live down in London and attend every home game, ending my 'trip' that same 'day'...

So am i allowed in the Kop or not?

The camera flash thing is bollocks. The players pay no heed to them at all. It is part and parcel for them. Anyone who has played a sport to a half decent level, soon gets used to little things like that, the sheer fact that you are being watched by thousands of people is more nerve wracking at first, than whether there are people taking pictures.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
