I saw Skrtel at right back and thought of that Middlesbrough game in 08/09. Would of liked to see Kuyt out on the right of midfield just to counter-act the threat of Bale a bit more.

Gutted more about how we played rather than the scoreline, we were embarrassed!

Wolves at home next week so i'm hoping for a bounce back and some more positive play.

Aye, i think we need to be looking to smash Wolves. A convincing win at Brighton, following a battering of McCarthy's boys would take us into the derby nicely.

I think, if we put things into perspective, similarly to how the mancs won the league without being great last year, we can get into the top 4 without being amazing too - by virtue of the fact that, aside from the top 3, nobody else is *that* consistent that they'll be a big worry.

Arsenal and Spurs are inconsistent and always liable to go away from home and **** up - as are we.

It'll come down to which of the three is the least inconsistent

Just to get away from just today's horror show for a minute. For most of the last few years now ( rafa's last the exception) we've ended the season playing well

It seems whatever manager we have feels the need to pitch our new signings in with the result that there's always a period of inconsistency

By the end of last season we were playing decent football and getting decent results with Lucas - Spearing in the middle and Maxi / Meireles / Suarez / Kuyt short passing / creating
Wasnt the liverpool way that things stayed the same until loss of form / injury and then the new guy would get in and try to claim the jersey?
The midfields a disaster just now when it wasnt really broken to need fixed.

And we've only played five games. Thus we are claiming to be unlucky in the majority of our games.

It was poor buying in the summer and last January. We overpaid and we bought players we did not need and left glaring holes in the squad despite spending a large amount of cash.

yeah coz we MASSIVLY overspeant on Suarez, Enrique, Adam, Coates and Downing. You can have Henderson and Carroll who are both under the age of 23 and have about 12-15 years left in there careers.
