No, I ended up staring into space like a zombie after the third went in.

Saw their players doing loads of **** and getting no cards, the Parker basketball attempt and Kyle Walkers shocking dive being highlights. Regardless or how bad we played that ref was an absolute disgrace.Originally posted by ric.williams View Postanyone see modric kick lucas after being body checked near the end of the match?

I'm not willing to read through all the vitriol posted previously, but I'm more than happy to give my take on the game.
Starting with Carroll was mistake. I'm still confident he'll come good for us, but his confidence is down and he doesn't attack the ball like he did with the Toon. Dirk and Luis up front would have given us a bit more work rate in the attacking areas of midfield. Starting with Skrtel at RB, however, was a real brain fade from Kenny. Done for pace and out of position repeatedly. Flanagan would have been a much better bet.
Spurs started really well, first to the ball and scored a wonder goal. Fair enough. Any chance of responding was denied by the absolute cunt of a ref. I completely agree with both yellow cards for the sending offs. The two initial yellows however were ridculously soft and the majority of PL refs would have just had a word. This prick has harldy reffed since the beachball incident and it will be a while before he has another go. Having said that, both Adam and Skrtel were very rash making those challenges when already booked.
After going a man (or 2) down, I thought we fought well, with one exception. Carra has undeniably shown that he's past it. For their 2nd and particularly their 4th goal, he was simply caught on his haunches when everyone else had pushed up, playing both goal scorers well onside. Time to replace him I'm afraid.
This is a result that will give Kenny and the lads a good wake-up call, hopefully without denting confidence too much given the red cards. Kenny and the team will surely learn from this. We'll bounce back I'm sure.
These are the games that separate those who follow LFC from those who support LFC. We'll hammer Wolves next week and things will look a lot rosier.Last edited by banditos; 18-09-11, 07:47 PM.

After 5 games, 3 of which were very difficult away games, we are 2 points off 4th place. Making judgements about top four after 5 games is daft enough in itself, but if you're going to do it, perhaps try to do it with some kind of appreciation of what's actually happening in the league table.
to lose 4 0 to our main rivals for 4th is a massive psychological blow for us and a huge boost for them. city went there and turned them over 5 nil and results matter. no one gives a crap that spurs only had half a team that day because all people remember is them being dicked 5 nil.
no one is going to give a flying **** that we were down to 8 men and a 35m donkey. all they will remember is that spurs thrashed us 4 0 and no matter what the optimists say this is a huge blow. to lose 2 men in a tough away game itself implies several problems intrinsic to the fabric of the team.
we lost our cool too easily, our players resort to rough house tactics against better opposition and players, theres a lack of discipline and leadership on the pitch, the management failed to take decisive action before things went south.
say whatever the **** you like this is a terrible blow to us and no one is going to dismiss this.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Hahahaha still got to love how a win at Arsenal doesnt count but a defeat today does. And you've got the nerve to call someone else self righteous.
