I think that's what some people are slightly worried about Craig, we seem to do this a little bit too often.

Then again you have got some people who are just never happy, win, draw or lose.

We have 5 more points this season compared to the same fixtures from last season, 5 more points. I would prefer 8 or 9 more points but that sounds pretty damn good to me.

If our defence is so bad, how come Wolves went through a sustained period of pressure on us, and yet, we didnt concede an equaliser?

I think we dominated the game, other than ten mins after they scored, and last 5 when we defended the lead.

That said, game should have been a 5-0 scoreline, our inability to convert chances had already cost us v Sunderland and Stoke and will do so again.

          Not good enough tbh.

Of course i understand that, but it's a consequence of the recent defeats IMO. Today was a bit of a 'must win' game and the pressure of that contributed to the nerves. Had we been on a recent run of good results, i dont think we'd have seen those kind of nerves at the back.

Looking at the corresponding fixtures is a pretty pointless exercise.

Some luck and last ditch defendering, much too open and on another day we would have conceded. Our CB pairing at the moment, is the issue IMO, as Kelly will get fitter and him and Enrique will be excellent either side.

Sooner lor later teams will score from situations like that and we have seen that in the past. Today we didn't concede but the signs are pretty clear.

What do you suggest we do as an alternative? Stick John Henry alongside Carra for the derby?

Agreed with that, apart from the 'not good enough' - if Carroll's effort is 3 inches to the left, or the other shot that hit the bar was 3 inches lower, we'd have scored 4 goals in a home game that we dominated, for the most part.

What's not good enough about that?

Not much apart from selling him and buying someone better and someone who has enough brain cells to read a defensive situation properly.

Cannot see us going after one in January.

Imo Comolli will wait until summer as the selection will be much greater.

I also tought Kelly hasn't had a good game today. Got beaten few times by Jarvis and didn't offer much offensively and also when he is under any type of pressure he seems to resort to Carra's type of hoofing a lot.

carl henry looked like he was playing with kids. we couldnt get the ball off him and o'hara also had a pretty easy game too.

I think having henderson out wide isnt helping us because the right hand side becomes redundant and unproductive. Charlie adam is pushing forward a hell of a lot and on the counter he doesnt have the legs to get back. a couple of passes and centre forwards find themselves one v one against our defenders. Skrtel is rubbish and carra is in the twilight of his career so it gives them plenty of chances against us.

we should abandon this **** 442 (or 4411) and go back to the 4231 that we know works. lucas, adam and gerrard a behind carroll and suarez and downing have essentially free roles to create chances and score goals.

3 man midfield gives us more solidity especially seeing that lucas isnt the best passer of the ball and charlie isnt the best athelete in the world. having stevie in there with them will only give us more strength.
