I'd be tempted to start Spearing for this game, I reckon we need som hard working midfielders and he knows the derby well being a local lad. Kuyt should also get back in to the team to press Everton high and for his workrate.

They are tough opponent but we should be able to win there. We are stronger than last year and they are weaker and as long as we control the ball possession I think we'll do fine.

Tbh I think any player could easily be sent off in any game, carra for example could could be just as much a liability in this way as Adam but we have to play a team capable of competing. I'm sure Kenny will make it clear to every player in the team what merseyside derbies are all about, and on this subject I'm sure he will mention the need to remain calm amidst any aggravating evertonian tactics.

They are talking about the October schedule this year and the corresponding fixtures last year. That's my understanding.

So the first October game this year is Everton and we list against then last year.
